If you would like to suggest a site for inclusion in this category, or if you find an outdated link, please contact us. Just follow the links at the top of this page.

DateReminder.co.uk - This is a handy and reliable UK-based free reminder service that allows you to remember important dates, such as birthdays, anniversaries, parties and the like. Once registered and after some simple configuration, the service will e-mail you a reminder two weeks in advance and draw your attention to the dates you are due to attend. You can view a demo here before registering.

Dates2Remember.co.uk - Do you regularly forget appointments or important dates? Dates2Remember is a fantastic free electronic reminder service that sends you or your friends reminders of important events and will also suggest appropriate gifts for the occasion. Once registered, you will receive a personalised home page, which features news, horoscopes and gossip.

RealDateReminder.com - RealDateReminder.com is a free e-mail reminder service that will alert you to upcoming birthdays, anniversaries and many other events that are sometimes difficult to remember. If you're prone to forgetfulness, this service will prove invaluable. You're able to set daily, weekly, monthly or even annual reminder messages to arrive via e-mail on any date you choose.

Remind4U - Here's a free personal reminder service that allows you to remember important dates, such as birthdays, anniversaries, weddings, meetings, etc. Remind4U also provides other services, including flower delivery, wine delivery and also personalised cards, although these are not completely free (unlike their reminder service). Even so, the site provides a one stop solution for remembering and sending gifts.

Birthday Alarm - This site provides a free reminder service, along with free digital greeting cards. Contrary to its name, Birthday Alarm is useful for remembering far more than just people's birthdays. It's ideal for remembering other important events, too, such as work holidays, your social occasions, visits to the doctors, and more. Here, you'll also find an online shop selling flowers.

JungleMate - JungleMate is high quality Web site with many different features on offer to help you organise yourself. After registering, you'll have access to a personal address book, a "to do" list, online calendar, Web bookmarks and a complete reminder service. If you require any more information, head on over to their "demonstration" page. Here, you can view all the utilities in action.

MyBookmarks.com - Here's our favourite free bookmark manager. MyBookmarks.com is a clean, easy-to-use site with immense functionality beneath. They allow you to keep track of your browser bookmarks at one online location, so you can access them from anywhere. The three most popular browsers are supported here - you are able to import your favourites from Mozilla, IE and AOL.

Remember It - Offers reminder services in the form of an e-mail note and is ideal for remembering birthdays, anniversaries, special events or even doctors appointments. This can sometimes be better than a diary, but is no use if you don't regularly check your e-mail account. Once registered with the site, you can obtain your free membership and gain access to your Remember-It control panel.

BigDates Screensaver - A free reminder service in the form of a fun and colourful screen saver, featuring an assistant called Dottie, who manages your personalised calendar. Using the BigDates screen saver, you can keep track of all your important events throughout the year. The program is completely free to download but only functions on the 1024x768 screen resolution.

Memo to Me - This rather simple, but friendly site can be a useful tool when you've got a busy schedule. Once configured, it will send you a reminder via e-mail and notify of any important dates, birthdays, appointments, anniversaries, events, etc. in your diary. Registering at Memo to Me is a fast, straight -forward process and navigating the site is very much the same.

Yahoo! Calendar - A solid free calendar service from the Internet portal giant, Yahoo! As with most Yahoo! services, unless you already have an account with them, you will need to complete a free registration form. This service allows you to share your calendar with your friends or customers, keep a check on your appointments from any computer and will also act as a reminder service.

iKeepBookmarks.com - Although this service is rather cluttered in appearance, it does the job of remembering your Internet bookmarks (or favourites) very well. You don't even need to be an experienced Internet surfer to use it either. All the functions here are straight forward, and there's even a few extras that other services don't have. For example, you can e-mail your friends URLs.

LiveJournal.com - LiveJournal's rather classy site allows users to create and customise their very own "live journal". The journal is in fact a small program that you download to your system. Once it has accessed the Internet, your details, dates, etc. are downloaded from a server and imported into the program for you to view and update. If you need more information, this site has plenty.

InternetSeer.com - Use this free service to monitor your Web site's uptime/downtime. InternetSeer will probe a host every hour and check for any problems that will stop visitors from viewing your pages. If a problem is found (such as a connection refused error), they will automatically send an e-mail to you and monitor progress until your site is back online. We use it, and it works great.

Hotlist Anywhere - If you surf the Internet on more computers than one, it can be a pain to remember all your best URLs if they're stored elsewhere. Hotlist Anywhere solves this problem by allowing you to store your bookmarks remotely, meaning you can access them from whatever computer you use to "surf". Other features include an import utility and link-sharing options.
